Hello Moonchild :)
A Full Moon Lunar eclipse follows the Solar Eclipse that transpired on April 20. This penumbral Lunar eclipse will take place on May 5 (8.44 PM-1 AM IST). It will be visible in India. Check here to know where else it is visible. In Indian culture, it is considered a very powerful day, it being Kurma Jayanti and Buddha Purnima too. You can read more about this here.
Eclipses bring forth destined events that cause much-needed transformations in life. In my last blog on the Solar eclipse, we saw that there were two parallel themes at play:

A. The shadow self showing up
B. New opportunities coming up either
pushing you in a new direction or enabling some closure or effecting a big awakening
You may still be experiencing some parts of it. With this lunar eclipse, we are urged to focus more on the transformation and all that is leading up to it.
The question you need to ask yourself now is:
How do I navigate this intense transformative portal that the eclipse has opened up or is opening up for me?

When I share these insights with you, they are based largely on what I sense and experience in my life. I map this with what some authentic healers, oracles and enlightened souls share. Recently I was asked by a friend, tarot card reader and healer to meditate and pick two cards from a deck that is indicative of the time ahead. I got 'Flow' and 'Courage'. It most definitely is the theme at play for me. However in my observations and conversations with others in my circle, and going by what the wise ones with the real knowing have shared, it is showing up as a common strong thread for this eclipse season.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If you are still doing shadow work and feel that you need to release or make sense of the time, I recommend you do practice 1 that I shared in my last blog. Otherwise, follow the guidance below.
Invitation:
IDENTIFY OBSTACLES AND FIGURE HOW TO GO WITH THE FLOW
What all do you need: A quiet room, about an hour, journal and pen, a bowl of water with rock salt dissolved in it. If you have a favourite deity or an altar, let these be part of the space you are practising.
Sit in a meditative posture. Centre yourself by observing your connection with Mother Earth. Visualize a Full Moon in your eyebrow centre. As you inhale and exhale a few times, ask the lunar energies to flow through you and guide you.
1. Reflection 1 - Journaling
Answer these questions in writing. Take 10-15 minutes.
Lately, what has not worked out or has had delays and obstructions in spite of good planning and focused effort? Why has it not worked out? Do I need to change something in me or in my approach that can possibly make a difference? If yes, what would that be? If not, is it time for closure?
2. Release Ritual - Intuitive body movement
Start by lying down in whatever way you are comfortable.
Notice your breath and breathe into your belly and out for a few rounds till you feel calm and settled.
Run awareness through various parts of the body.
Pause at parts where you sense discomfort/tension/tightness/aches/pains/numbness.
You can move or sit up and touch this part to connect with the sensation.
Ask yourself, what kind of movement will help ease this out. The body has an innate intelligence. Allow yourself to be guided by that. There is not right or wrong here. And this can be any kind of movement, not necessarily asana. The only thing you need to make sure it that you breathe well all through.
Attend to the body part by part till you have spoken to every little ache or niggle. These may not fully go away but there will definitely be a shift after this practice.
Sit down and take a few breaths as you run your palms over your whole body. Be supremely grateful for this gift of your body.
3. Revisit the writing, add on if anything has emerged.
4. Water ritual
Dip your fingers into the bowl of water and sprinkle the water on yourself.
Also touch the water to parts of the body where you initially sensed the need for release.
Now comes the interesting part!
JUST BE WATER :)
Below are a few sounds for guidance. You can choose one or more of these water sounds that you resonate with. Move intuitively to these sounds. You can assign about 3 minutes per sound if you are choosing more sounds or do one sound for 10-12 minutes. Feel free to find your own video/audio of a water sound if these do not 'move' you :) More importantly, FLOW to the sound! Be uninhibited and become water! End by once again sprinkling water on yourself.
OCEAN WAVES
RAIN
BABBLING BROOK
WATER DROPS
4. Reflection 2 - Journaling
Answer this:
What has come my way without (much) effort and possibly unexpectedly in recent times? What has naturally flowed towards me?
(Think ideas, new ways of thinking, people, advice, guidance, money, opportunities to explore your passion and creativity, anything else)
Write for 10 minutes.
5. Comparison and 'Letting it incubate'
Take a few breaths with closed eyes. Read Reflections 1 & 2.
Mull over this:
What am I intuitively leaning towards - in staying and CREATING FLOW in the reflection 1 situation or GOING WITH THE FLOW that has shown up in reflection 2.
Are there parallels?
What is the direction I am drawn to?
Write down the following words and fill it up now/over the next few days as and when they come up for you. You may or may not get the guidance right away. So allow for incubation. Know that it will show up for you in time. Be patient.
I WILL EMBRACE FLOW BY
1.
2.
3.
4.
(add on if more)
6. Affirmation & Gratitude
Read this affirmation aloud 3 times.
I TAKE STEPS FORWARD WITH BELIEF, CONFIDENCE, COURAGE AND PASSION.
I TRUST MY FLOW.
Close the ritual by offering gratitude to the Moon and Mother Earth.
Wish you all a deep and soulful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse practice!
Hugs, love & gratitude :)
Sheetal
