The February Full Moon asks you to LISTEN & RELEASE

Hello Moonchild :)

The Full Moon that rises on 23rd/24th February will help you to release what does not serve your purpose and come into your own power. All you need to do is quieten down, reflect on what has been happening lately in your life and listen to cues from your body and heart.
There is the theme of release - of ideas, attitudes, thoughts, habits, beliefs, perception, conditioning - one or more of which may be creating situations that feel complex and energy sapping. These take you away from your centre and your purpose. Under this moon, I invite you to identify these and initiate shedding work. Only once the noise clears can you see your own potential and truly come into your power!
Identify what demands release, start the cleansing process.
Tap into your intuition for insights towards the way forward.
Stay aware of signs coming at you.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Set aside about an hour and a half. Create a sacred space with flowers, incense and anything else that holds meaning for you. Keep your journal and pen handy. Light a ghee lamp (preferably) or a candle. Sit down and close eyes. Offer gratitude to your Gurus and ancestors. Visualize a Full Moon in your eyebrow centre, take a few breaths asking the lunar energies to guide you.
A) Identifying what does not serve you now - GROUND YOURSELF & JOURNAL
Lie down on the floor. Become acutely aware of your body's connection to Mother Earth. Imagine millions of pores on the back of your body in touch with the ground. Visualize taking in energy from the earth as you inhale and giving back or releasing energy into the earth as you exhale. Make your exhales comfortably longer than the inhales. Do 21 breaths. Let go of the visualization.

Then sit up and answer these in writing:
What has been taking up my bandwidth lately?
What are my emotions, feelings associated with it and how have i responded to it so far?
Why do I feel this way?
What demands release from within me?
Read all that you have written and sit quietly for a while absorbing all of it.
B) Shedding - MOVEMENT & BREATH
Observe how your body feels. Do a practice, choosing asanas and movements that help open up and release. In whatever you do, with every exhale, feel release happening at the physical level. Use touch in areas that need nurturing. Let the practice be slow and mindful. If anything surfaces for you during the practice, jot it down in your journal.
Know that shedding may also involve verbalizing or communication with another person (who may or may not be a part of the context). Decide to do that within the next couple of days following your ritual.
C) Tapping into intuition and Heart energy - MEDITATION
Sit in a meditative posture. Take your awareness to your heart space enclosed by the chest, the upper back the shoulders and the diaphragm below. Think of this as a beautiful expansive space that you will fill with prana (you can also think compassion, gratitude, kindness, love) as you breathe in and cleanse of all unwanted energies as you breath out. Do this for 14 breaths.

Shift awareness to the eyebrow centre and visualize a luminous, healing Full moon in your eyebrow centre. Breathe in and out naturally, holding this image for a while. If you are outdoors, you can gaze at the Moon softly and close your eyes maintaining the image in your eyebrow centre. Keep eyes closed till the image disappears. Then open your eyes and repeat. Maintain a calm slow breath throughout. Do this for 21 breaths.
D) Sitting with everything in silence
Settle into the deep silence that follows, in absolute stillness, with an attitude of total surrender to the ritual. Be receptive to anything that may surface. Insights may reveal themselves to you in this silence. Stay here as long as you wish to.
(Insights may come to you later as dreams or when you wake up the next morning. Messages may also reach you through people you interact with. So pay attention for the next couple of days.)
E) AFFIRMATION
Write this down as you say it aloud:
Everything is happening for my own good and for the good of those around me. I am in a grounded peaceful space with compassion and intuition as my tools to navigate all that comes my way. I am supported and guided by lunar wisdom.
Close by offering gratitude to the Earth, the Moon, your Gurus and ancestors.
