Hello Moonchild :)

Here we are on the final Full Moon of the Year (26th December). What's your verdict on your 2023? :) Some answers may have surfaced if you did the earlier rituals.

If you did not do the last New and Full moon rituals, and if you have time to do practices over the next 3-4 days, I'd recommend doing those first and then coming to this one.

This Full Moon is about embracing all that is 'home' for you, and coming home to yourself.

Set aside about an hour and create a sacred space with flowers, incense and anything else that holds meaning for you. Keep your journal and pen ready. Light a ghee lamp (preferably) or a candle.

If you have a good space outdoors where you will not be disturbed, you could choose to do the whole ritual outdoors too.

Ground by consciously placing your palms on the bare earth/floor or being aware of the parts of the body in touch with Mother Earth. Visualize an energy exchange happening - taking in energy from the earth as you inhale and sending or releasing energy (energy that doesn't serve you well) into the earth as you exhale. After this, you could go through a gentle movement practice to open up the body for the ritual.

Sit down and close eyes. Visualize a Full Moon in your eyebrow centre. If you are outdoors, you can gaze softly at the Full Moon, then close eyes and hold the image of the Moon in the eyebrow centre for a while. Take a few breaths asking the lunar energies to guide you. Offer gratitude to your Gurus and ancestors.

If you love chanting, do the ‘Om Som Somaiyah Namah’ chant 14 times.

Then go through this guided meditation. You do not need to look at the screen. Use earphones/speakers if needed.

End with a journaling practice. I'm sharing a couple of prompts below. You will write continously for 5-10 minutes for each prompt. If you hit a block, use the prompt but do not take pen off the paper.

PROMPT 1 (choose one from what you resonate with)

I feel....

OR

I release...

PROMPT 2

I am grateful for...

Finish and read this mindfully now and every morning until the New Year. Sit in silence for a while. If anything further surfaces for you now or later, jot that down too.

Close by offering gratitude to the Earth, the Moon, your Gurus and ancestors.

Have a wonderful year-end practice and a peaceful start to 2024!

Hugs, love & gratitude

Sheetal
